About

Biostatistician, Researcher, Professor

Statistics is most meaningful, and has its greatest impact, when it is motivated by real problems. My research mentality reflects this attitude: I work on both methodological and applied problems with most of my applied work falling into the realm of Public Health research.

I bring this mindset into the classroom as a professor. My lectures aim to blend theory with application so students can gain some additional motivation behind the theoretical work. Over the course of my career, I have taught statistics to hundreds of students, many of whom have gone on to pursue graduate work in a variety of disciplines.
